1. Good Pairing Rules
A good date forms a relationship with your birth year hexagram. We evaluate the HE (Upper) and EB (Lower) numbers.
Both HE & EB Rules:
- α α 10 (Sum 10): 1β9, 2β8, 3β7, 4β6
- ααΌαααΆαα» (Same): 1β1, 2β2... 9β9
- α αααααα (Diff 5): 1β6, 2β7, 3β8, 4β9
- α α 5 (Sum 5): 1β4, 2β3
- α α 15 (Sum 15): 6β9, 7β8
EB ONLY (Lower) Rule:
- α αααΆααΈααΆαααααα: 1β3, 2β4, 6β8, 7β9
2. Four Pillars Auspicious Patterns
The selected date is even more auspicious if its Four Pillars (Year, Month, Day, Hour) form specific Xuan Kong Da Gua patterns among themselves:
- Pure Gua (δΈε¦η΄ζΈ
): All four upper or lower numbers are exactly the same (e.g., 2, 2, 2, 2).
- Sum of 10 Pattern (εεζ Όε±): The four numbers form two pairs that sum to 10 (e.g., 1, 9, 2, 8).
- He Tu Pattern (ζ²³εζ Όε±): The four numbers form two pairs with a difference of 5 (e.g., 1, 6, 2, 7).
If a pattern is detected on the selected date, it will automatically appear as a glowing badge below the Four Pillars panel!
